Rough
weather conditions during winters have an adverse affect on our skin. This is
why it needs better protection and care during winters. Here are some tricks
that are sure to help you:
Moisturize often
Begin
your day by moisturizing the body right after a shower (this helps lock in some
extra moisturizer). Also, moisturize the face repeatedly through the day to
keep it soft and supple.
Avoid hot showers
With
the weather already so dry during the winters having a hot water shower is the
last thing you should do. It will steal more moisture from the skin and leave
it wrinkled and parched.
Oiling
the skin before you sleep is a good way of replenishing the moisture of your
skin. Use any natural oil such as coconut, olive oil, lavender oil, etc.
Use glycerin and petroleum Jelly
For
body parts like the hands, feet, elbows and knees that remain drier than other
parts, use glycerin or petroleum jelly. These products will moisturize and heal
the skin cracks quickly.
