Skincare Tips for Children during Holiday Season

Most children typically celebrate the holiday season with limited sleep and sugary treats. Although exciting, the cold temperatures can take a toll not only on the health of children, but also on their skin.  Read along for some healthy skin care tips for children.
Cradle Cap: Massage your baby’s scalp with mineral oil to avoid flack and dry skin.

Keratosis Pilaris: Characterized by severe dryness of skin leading to inflammation, parents are advised to use emollients and topical exfoliants and consult a seasoned pediatrician if required.
Eczema: This leads to dry, red and itchy skin. Babies having Eczema should be given a bath for 10 minutes with a mild and fragrance free cleanser, followed by generous application of a moisturizer.
Acne: Children with acne are advised to wash their face with luke warm water twice a day and should apply topical prescription medications to unclog pores.
